The Dire Theatre Company was founded to foster the creation of original, professional, and independent theatre that speaks with authenticity and urgency. Our work is not activism in the traditional sense, but theatre, performance, and projects that resist the confines of conventional popular theatre and the institutions that uphold them. We create work that dares to ask difficult questions, confronts uncomfortable truths, and carries messages of transformation and positive change.
