ARTifacts is a visual arts initiative by The Dire Theatre Company that aims to give artists with unique and relevant works, and who would otherwise not have the opportunity, a space to display and sell their work. The works must exist as artifacts, that is, they must be physical and enduring; whereas a performance exists only in the present, a sculpture, painting, sketch, or collage, exists in to the future.
