In The Works.
Ever creating.
A series of rehearsed play readings, where our very talented actors perform rehearsed play readings of popular and original plays on stage!
We'll be reading the classics, popular modern works, and original works that you can submit! The Tempest is an enchanting mix of Shakespearean fairy story, comedy, and drama, all rolled in to one island adventure!
A storm. A shipwreck. Spirits of the air and monsters of the island. A wizard scorned and a coterie stranded. Love, revenge, magic and buffoonery, The Tempest is an Island tale that plays with theatrical convention as much as with character. The exiled Prospero ex Duke of Milan and a powerful wizard, with the aid of his elemental magic shipwrecks the King of Naples with his son and brother, as well as the usurper of his own title, his own brother on the island he himself was exiled to. With his daughter Miranda, elemental servant Ariel, and his begrudging monster slave Caliban, Prospero puppeteers revenge upon all of those who wronged him as well as lays the foundation for his grand return from exile. |
This project is going to be an exciting blend of live theatre and performance, as well as classic radio plays.
Our performers will combine the two mediums to produce a multi sensory series of intertwining performances that incorporate some of the best of classic radio plays! |
Little bits of art that come straight from the heart.
We open our stage up to the region and ask you to get up in front of an audience and perform a monologue, a song, a poem, an interpretive dance, whatever your medium is, to us! The only catch is you need to chat with us and explain why this piece of art is important to you. You take it out of it's textual context and place it where all art should end up, in the context of your emotional life, why is it special, why is it powerful, why does it mean something to you.
